The Creative Reboot podcast is all about celebrating creativity, whether you’re a creative business owner, employed with a creative side hustle or simply pursuing a creative hobby in your spare time. We’ve chatted with writers and artists, photographers and candle makers, experts from the world of PR, accounting and SEO, just to name a few. What they all have in common is the belief that it takes creative thinking to do things differently and in a way that works for them.
We touch a lot on topics like neurodivergence (both hosts are ND!), imposter syndrome, perfectionism and more. There’s a lot of fun, rambling thoughts, brain fireworks, laughter and plenty of swearing along the way. And our catchphrase is “Can’t words for sh*t!”. We’re definitely thinking about putting that on a t-shirt 😉
Creative Reboot has been live since early 2020 and we’re just wrapping up our seventh season so there’s a decent back catalogue of episodes to listen to. Start with our first two episodes that introduce each of us so you have a little bit of an idea of who we are and where we’re aiming for with this podcast.
Currently, we’re releasing one episode a month and our episodes are a mix of guests bringing their wonderful wisdom and experiences to share, as well as just the two of us bouncing thoughts and ideas off of each other. Based in Wivenhoe, UK, Carla Watkins is a brand photographer & visual magic maker. She works with colourful, magical weirdos who own businesses – embracing the weird and the woo. She’s also the author of the Visual Magic book, a magical portrait photographer, co-founder of an online stationery boutique, a quarter of a chocolate business, and a professional mermaid. And yes, obviously she has ADHD – the list of her pursuits is a bit of a giveaway!
Now based in BC, Canada, originally from the UK and Malta, Sarah Wayte is a creative copywriter and brand photographer. A fellow multipod and late-diagnosed AuDHDer… Sarah is all about living your best and genuine life. She also writes about her experiences as a former paramedic for fun and is currently writing her first novel. Purple is her favourite colour, in case you hadn’t guessed!
